The ESG Inclusion Scholarship was established in 2023 by the game cluster East Sweden Game to promote inclusion and diversity in the gaming industry. The scholarship, awarded on International Women’s Day, goes this year to Magdalena Annell for her extensive engagement and contributions to the East Sweden Games community.

Magdalena receives the scholarship with the motivation:

“This year’s recipient of the ESG Inclusion Scholarship has been chosen because of her extensive engagement and contributions to the East Sweden Games community from the start. She has not only co-founded the game studio Lutra Interactive but has also contributed to the establishment of the diversity initiative Equal Play and the board game association ESG Spelklubb. Moreover, her efforts in leading graphic courses at both Valla Game Education and East Sweden Game have enriched our community with good values and valuable knowledge.”

The scholarship, which is 5,000 SEK, aims to encourage activities and education that contribute to the recipient’s personal development. The jury group consists of staff at East Sweden Game.
